About the Role & Your Impact
As a Pediatric Physical Therapist at ECC, you will be a vital part of Delaware's only pediatric skilled nursing facility. You will join an incredible interdisciplinary team (Nurses, RTs, OTs, SLPs, Dietitians) dedicated to making childhood exceptional for children and young adults with complex medical needs.
Key Responsibilities :
Evaluate and treat children with a wide range of gross motor, mobility, and neuromuscular disorders.
Assess, recommend, and manage specialized rehabilitation equipment (wheelchairs, standers, gait trainers, orthoses).
Partner with vendors, orthotists, and the clinical team to ensure optimal equipment fitting and use.
Provide vital education and training to families, caregivers, and fellow team members.
Supervise PTAs and therapy aides, ensuring a high standard of care.
Complete documentation (Plans of Care, progress notes) to support care continuity and clinical justification.
Qualifications
License : Active (or eligibility for) Delaware PT license.
Education : Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
Experience :
At least 1 year of pediatric experience is strongly preferred.
Experience in acute, complex, or medically fragile care settings (including trach / vent) is highly preferred.
Experience with rehabilitation equipment assessment and management is a significant plus.
