We are seeking a Radiation Oncology Nurse Practitioner for a 20-day locum tenens assignment in New York, beginning Jan 2, 2026. This opportunity features day shifts, Monday through Friday, with clinical work starting Jan 5, 2026. The provider will work with adult and geriatric patients, delivering specialized care in Radiation Oncology.

Responsibilities and Duties
Assess, diagnose, monitor, and manage patient conditions within the scope of Radiation Oncology and area specialty practicePerform history and physical exams, including pelvic exams as appropriateOrder and interpret diagnostic tests and therapeutic modalities, limited to procedures with documented training and experienceImplement therapeutic interventions specific to patient conditions as indicatedConduct arterial punctures and blood gas samplingProvide care for superficial wounds, including debridement and minor superficial surgical proceduresPerform incision and drainage of superficial abscessesInsert and remove non-weighted nasogastric or oro-gastric tubesComplete Death Certificate ProtocolsRemove central venous cathetersProvide care to adult and geriatric patients, including those in intensive care settings, in accordance with unit policiesAdditional Information
Active New York NP license requiredRequired board certifications : Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification (AGACNP-BC), Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Certification (AGPCNP-BC), Adult Nurse Practitioner Certification (ANP-BC), Family Nurse Practitioner Certification (FNP)Required certifications : Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)Nurse Practitioners may not serve as admitting providersBenefits
