Tillys Store Operations Administrative Assistant

Based in sunny Southern California, our Retail Support Center (RSC) is the heart of our corporate operations, dedicated to supporting both our retail and online stores. The RSC is where strategy meets execution. From trend forecasting to tech innovation, our teams work together to bring the Tillys experience to life both in-store and online.

Position Summary

Store Operations Administrative Assistant supports the daily functions of the Store Operations team, including internal communication and special projects. This role ensures accurate and timely execution of operational tasks, communicates directly with store teams to resolve issues, and help streamline processes to support the store efficiently.

We are looking for someone with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This position is a great fit for someone with prior retail leadership experience who's looking to step into a corporate role.

Key Responsibilities

A typical day may include :

  • Complete tasks associated with opening and closing Stores.
  • Updates materials, reference booklets and checklists.
  • Order, pack, and coordinate shipping of supplies.
  • Works closely with other Departments to ensure timely resolution of issues reported by the District Manager.
  • Reviews and edits communication, messages and instructional documents for Stores.
  • Provides support and completes tasks / projects as requested for special projects (meetings, contests, etc.) as needed.
  • Completes supply order for Stores and DMs.
  • Monitors, assigns and addresses Call Center Tickets submitted by Stores.
  • Prepares documents, envelopes, etc. and slots in the mail for Stores, DMs and RDs.
  • Provides support and service to Regional Directors, District Managers and Stores.
  • Answers the Store Ops phone line and resolves issues.
  • Perform other duties and assigned and apparent.

  • Qualifications

    Your experience brings :

  • Minimum one-year Lead Sales experience at an apparel Retailer preferred
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint preferred
  • Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop a plus
  • Excellent written / grammatical and verbal communication skills
  • Proofreading ability
  • Typing of 45-55 wpm
  • Phone etiquette
  • Organizational and formatting skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent time management and prioritization
  • Highly motivated with a sense of urgency
  • Education & Experience

  • 12 years of experience preferred, ideally in a retail environment
  • High School Diploma required
  • Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • Professional office setting with low to moderate noise
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
  • Occasionally lift / move up to 20 lbs. and navigate stairs
  • Frequent walking and movement between floors / departments

    Compensation

    Hourly Range : $18 $21 / hr. Final offer will be based on experience, skills, and qualifications.

    What to Expect

    Schedule : Full-time role with weekday office hours; occasional evening or weekend work may be required during peak retail seasons. Work Location : Irvine, CA minimum of 4 days per week in-office.
