Tax Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Tax Manager to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to manage and oversee the tax department under the guidance of the tax partner. This role involves reviewing or preparing and finalizing tax returns, ensuring compliance with all tax regulations, and supporting the firm's growth by enhancing our client relationships.Key Responsibilities : Review or prepare and finalize individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns.Oversee the tax department, providing guidance and support to junior staff and assist them in managing their workload.Collaborate with the tax partner to develop and implement tax strategies for clients.Ensure clients' compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.Stay current with changing tax laws and provide insight on how they impact clients.Assist in tax planning and advisory services for our client base.Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor.Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency within the tax department.Provide training and mentoring to junior team members.Qualifications : CPA certification required.Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master's in Taxation preferred.Minimum of 7 years of relevant tax experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.Strong technical knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.Excellent communication and leadership skills.Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Proficient in CCH tax software, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Office Suite.What We Offer : Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses.Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and life insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.Professional development opportunities and support for continuing education.A collaborative and supportive work environment.Opportunities for career growth within the firm.Remote opportunities available, but preference will be given to in-office or hybrid candidates.
