Editors are not to exceed more than eight hours clocked in per-pay period (2-week pay period) Complete HR standard application Upload documents, resume, and writing sample required (cover letter and any other materials are optional). Please note that writing samples should follow these guidelines : Something written for a class is preferable. It should be roughly 2-3 pages. It can not be something that was written for Criterion with the editorial help of the Criterion staff.
Job Description
Description : The position works to check and maintain grammar and diction in all articles before publishing.
Duties :
- Use the AP Manual of Style to produce and implement standards for headlines, abbreviations, punctuation, etc., which shall be applied to Criterion articles.
- Review articles and / or assign to Section Editors articles before publication.
- Work on fixed content deadlines, after which content will be reviewed by Editor-in-Chief before publication.
- Oversee and communicate with Section Editors.
