We curate vehicles submitted by our audience and craft transparent auction listings that present the vehicles as they arewithout superlatives or dubious used-car-lot language. BaTs ever-growing community of knowledgeable users vets each listing so potential buyers can bid with confidence.

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Engineering Manager to lead a team of talented senior and mid-level software engineers. This team will be instrumental in migrating our auction platform from WordPress to a cutting-edge AWS serverless architecture. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background proven leadership capabilities and a passion for delivering on high-impact projects.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead mentor and manage a cross-functional team of senior and mid-level software engineers
• Ability to perform hands-on development as an individual contributor
• Drive the successful migration of our auction site from WordPress to AWS serverless infrastructure
• Collaborate with product managers designers and stakeholders to define technical requirements and project timelines
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement code quality and agile best practices
• Ensure system reliability scalability and performance throughout the migration process
• Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success
• Manage resource allocation performance reviews and professional development for team members

This is a full-time remote position with occasional travel required. In accordance with applicable law Hearst is required to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation for this role if hired in California or New York. The reasonable estimate if hired in California or New York is $190000-$210000. Please note this information is specific to those hired in California or New York. For all other locations not listed above the reasonable estimate is $171000-$207000. A final decision on the successful candidates starting salary will be based on a number of permissible non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to skills and experience training certifications and education.
