Job Summary
The Eye Bank Donor Screener is responsible for receiving and inputting all donor referrals by telephone and e-mail; triage and assign referrals to appropriate parties; and communicate effectively with individuals / teams in the program to ensure high quality and timely expedition of outside agency requests.

Incumbents in this position are expected to be familiar with the department's policies and procedures and have working knowledge of University and department organizations and procedures in order to answer and assist staff and visitors. Incumbents are also expected to demonstrate sensitivity to others' needs while being understanding and helpful on the job.

Minimum Qualifications
Associate's degree in a related field or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) required. Two years of related experience, ability to use logic and reasoning to prioritize tasks, expertise using MS Office software, and demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills also required. Database experience preferred. Bachelor's degree in a related field may be preferred.
This position is patient-sensitive and must fulfill all associated requirements.
