HiFyve is hiring a Production Planner in the Manufacturing industry in Sylmar, CA!

Salary : $60,000+ / year DOE

Shift : Full-time, onsite

Location : Sylmar, CA

Benefits : Full benefits package

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Production Planner to join our team. This role ensures efficient production scheduling, inventory management, and cross-functional collaboration to meet operational goals. The ideal candidate will bring strong ERP system knowledge, manufacturing experience, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer demand and optimize resource utilization
  • Release job orders and monitor their progress through the production cycle
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to align production plans with design and operational capabilities
  • Maintain accurate inventory control and ensure timely availability of materials
  • Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts and production bottlenecks
  • Utilize ERP systems to manage planning activities and generate reports
  • Support purchasing activities and coordinate with procurement as needed
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • 5 years of experience in production planning or manufacturing operations (preferred)
  • Strong proficiency in ERP systems; Job Boss experience a plus
  • Solid understanding of inventory control principles
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments
  • Background in purchasing or procurement is a plus
  • Must be capable of lifting 20–40 lbs
