Description of Work Unit
Laboratory : The Laboratory department at the CSU Health Network performs a wide variety of testing including chemistry, hematology, microbiology, parasitology, and virology on site. The lab staff works very closely with the medical providers for the diagnosis and treatment of physical and mental illness.

Position Summary
The Laboratory Manager is responsible for the leadership, operational oversight, and regulatory compliance of a high-complexity outpatient clinical laboratory located on a college health campus. The laboratory performs testing in Hematology, Chemistry, Immunology, Endocrinology, Microbiology / Molecular, and Urinalysis, as well as Point-of-Care (POC) testing. The Manager oversees day-to-day laboratory functions, supervises staff, ensures quality assurance and regulatory compliance, supports strategic initiatives, and fosters collaboration within and outside the CSU Health Network. The Laboratory Manager reports directly to the Associate Medical Director and has CLIA-regulated reporting responsibilities to the CSU Health Network part-time Laboratory Director.
