Hourly Pay Range :

$66.12 - $92.57 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights :

  • Position : Physician Assistant - Orthopedics - Inpatient
  • Location : Skokie Hospital, Skokie, IL
  • Full Time / Part Time : Full Time, 40 hours per week
  • Hours : Nights - 3 consecutive 12 hours shifts Monday through Friday between 6 : 00 p.m. - 6 : 00 a.m. Q4 weekends and 1-2 major holidays per year
  • Required Travel : Occasional travel to other NorthShore hospitals, including Swedish, may be required.

What you will need :

  • License : Current Physician Assistant License in the State of Illinois required. DEA & Illinois Controlled Substance License required.
  • Education : Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Certification : BLS for Healthcare Provider certification required
  • Experience : One year of Physician Assistant experience preferred
  • Skills : Surgical experience preferred

    • What you will do :

  • Provide comprehensive health care services for a diverse patient population in close collaboration with a team of surgeons and APPs.
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients within orthopedic surgery
  • Provide surgical care for patients in various settings - emergency room, operating room, post-op, and non-op inpatient
  • First assist in emergent operations
  • Perform therapeutic procedures such as, but not limited to, bedside wound debridements, I&Ds, and difficult catheter placements.
  • Work collaboratively with various health care providers throughout the system
