Clinical Scheduling Coordinator
The Clinical Scheduling Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring seamless clinical coverage across multiple facilities by managing daily, weekly, and long-term schedules for Anesthesiologists and Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs). This position requires a detail-oriented professional who can balance accuracy, flexibility, and clear communication in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Serving as the central point of coordination between providers, leadership, and hospital partners, the Clinical Scheduling Coordinator helps ensure reliable staffing that supports safe, high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities :
- Develop, manage, and maintain clinical schedules (daily, weekly, monthly, on-call) across multiple facilities.
- Track and manage PTO, LOA, locum, and per diem provider assignments, ensuring full coverage and alignment with operational needs and contractual obligations.
- Adjust schedules in real time to address emergent coverage needs, collaborating with Chief Anesthesiologists and leadership.
- Serve as the escalation point for scheduling conflicts, coverage gaps, and provider concerns.
- Ensure adherence to QGenda scheduling standards, system accuracy, and provider compliance.
Payroll Support :
Review and escalate payroll issues related to clinical provider hours, PTO, and locum coverage.Collaborate with service delivery and payroll teams to ensure accurate timekeeping.Support operational reporting needs, including schedule metrics, provider utilization, and staffing trends.Leadership & Communication :
Maintain open communication with providers, Chiefs of Clinical, and hospital leadership regarding scheduling and coverage.Participate in regular operational huddles.Foster collaborative relationships with clinical staff to support scheduling efficiency and provider satisfaction.Required Qualifications :
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy.Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across teams and leadership levels.Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced healthcare environment.Experience with scheduling software (QGenda preferred) and basic reporting tools.Total Rewards :
