[job_card.job_description]Work in a hospital-based cardiac post-procedural unit with 19-23 beds, serving patients from the Cath Lab and EP Lab Patient population includes post-procedural cardiac cases and cardiac overflow such as TAVR, STEMI, angioplasty, stenting, heart failure, and arrhythmias Typical RN patient ratios are 1 : 3-4 on days and 1 : 4-5 on nights No CNA support in the PACU space overnight Nurses read monitors and respond directly; no monitoring tech Utilizes EPIC EMR (experience required), Alaris IV pumps, Phillips monitors, and Omnicell medication dispensing Shifts are 7p-7a with a 36-hour work week; weekend rotation not currently required but may change Travelers may float within CMC Main within or below their scope No on-call responsibility Travelers are scheduled to work 75% of holidays Role involves caring for post-procedure cardiac patients, managing cardiac drips, reading telemetry, and assisting with procedures and emergencies Fast-paced, team-oriented unit with support from CNAs, HUC, charge nurse, RTs, hospitalists, and cardiology providers; strong expectation of teamwork and flexibility Orientation includes about one week with NEO, adjusted based on previous experience and comfort level Navy scrubs required for this unit Free parking available on site RTO requires manager approval Unit culture emphasizes teamwork, mutual support, and willingness to assist with all staff duties Active NC or compact RN license required Current BLS and ACLS certifications required A minimum of 2 years of relevant PCU RN experience required Must have completed at least one previous 13-week travel assignment Strong cardiac skillset including rhythm interpretation, cardiac drips, trach, PIV / CVL / Midline management, chest tube care, BGT / DHT placement, and arrhythmia management Required experience with TR bands; experience with femoral sheaths preferred Experience with EPIC EMR is required Candidates must permanently reside at least 50 miles from the home unit High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts
