The Manager, Strategic Sourcing, Facility will drive strategic procurement initiatives for facility related capital projects in North America, with occasional global support. The role focuses on managing complex construction and services contracts to ensure cost efficiency, supplier alignment, and project success, supporting Corning's annual capital budget of $1.5-$2 billion.
Key responsibilities include strategically sourcing capital services and construction, managing a portfolio of capital contracts within the facility capital category, facilitating contract negotiations, and evaluating bids and proposals against project specific decision analysis criteria. The role also involves managing internal stakeholder requests, exceeding customer expectations, and negotiating lower costs for the procurement of capital construction and services.
Required qualifications include a minimum of 8 years' experience in capital procurement, construction management, and / or related field, preferably for projects exceeding $1 million. A bachelor's degree in Technology, Finance, Supply Chain, and / or related field is also required.
