Industrial Designer - Automotive

This is a contract position at Honda in Torrance, CA USA. In this role, you will be helping design the vehicles of tomorrow.

Job Activities

• Develop and present new product design concepts.
  
• Create sketches, renderings and computer graphic illustrations.
  
• Collaborate with others (other designers, engineers, management, manufacturing, etc.) to develop or refine designs.
  
• Present work to peers and management for approval.
  
• Refine designs based on feedback.
  
• Estimate costs for projects or productions.
  
• Work with other specialists, such as mechanical engineers and manufacturers, to evaluate whether design concepts will fill needs at a reasonable cost.
  
• Evaluate product safety, appearance, and function to determine if a design is practical.
  
• Coordinate construction or installation activities.
  
• Conduct market research.
  
• Coordinate design activities.
  
• Conduct research to inform designs.
  
• Monitor current trends.
  
• Build models, patterns, or templates.
  
• Support team in the development of promotional strategies or plans.
  
• Manage assigned projects
