Power System SCADA and Controls – Specialist Engineer

This position is focused on design development test and deployment of SEL automation protection and networking devices in the power grid for customized applications for a variety of Customers in the critical infrastructure industry. SEL devices prevent blackouts and make outages safer and shorter in duration. They use cutting-edge technologies and operate at speeds that enhance other pieces of the grid to perform in a safer efficient and faster manner. As a Specialist / Engineer in Engineering Services you will provide solutions and services that help our customers protect and control critical electrical infrastructure and power systems worldwide.

As a Project Engineer or Specialist a typical day might include the following :

• Complete and implement work within agreed upon scope schedule and budget to a high level of quality and safety.
• Train and assist customers with the creation design configuration validation installation commissioning and operation of automation and / or protection systems.
• Assist in the identification preparation and presentation of successful proposals for SEL equipment services and systems.
• Mentor and develop professional staff. May supervise as necessary.

Pay Range :

We anticipate filling this position as a Project Engineer II $115300 - $170400. We are open to reviewing additional candidates with more or less experience and the pay range may differ if filled at a different level. Our pay ranges are determined by job responsibility and location. We base our starting pay offer and title on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience training knowledge and skills.
