The Logistics Lead Technician is responsible for overseeing the coordination, tracking, and management of aircraft parts, equipment, and supplies to ensure efficient maintenance and operational readiness. This role is responsible for inventory control, shipping and receiving, and accurate documentation in compliance with Company and regulatory requirements. The Logistics Lead works closely with the Logistics and Maintenance teams to ensure timely delivery and availability of critical assets. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee logistics functions including warehousing, shipping, receiving, repair orders, inventory control and distribution of parts.
- Coordinate closely with the logistics, maintenance, and compliance teams to align supply and logistics activities with scheduling, regulatory, and budgetary requirements.
- Supervise and develop department staff, ensuring accurate documentation, training, and operational excellence.
- Maintain the operational warehouses across all operating locations, as required.
- Maintain adherence of the logistics team to the department processes, SOPs, and contingency plans.
- Identify and mitigate inefficiencies to improve the overall function of the logistics team and support the Company mission.
- Support systems to identify and maintain required stock levels while ensuring management is notified if timely procurement is volatile.
- Ensure compliance with FAA, DOD, ITAR, and other regulatory requirements or contractual supply chain and material handling requirements.
- Support the handling, tracking, and shipment of hazardous or controlled materials in compliance with applicable laws.
- Support audits, inventory reconciliations, and reporting requirements.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND / OR QUALIFICATIONS
Must possess a deep understanding of aviation supply chain and logistics operations, including aircraft part traceability, warehousing, and distribution.Must have strong leadership skills with proven ability to build a cohesive and collaborative team.Must demonstrate ability to communicate across multiple levels internally within the organization and externally with vendors.Must possess strong problem-solving abilities to include analyzing and conveying new solutions to drive project and team performance.Must possess knowledge of FAA, DOD, AS9100 quality standard as they relate to material and logistics control.Proficient working in ERP or MRP systems, such as RAMCO.Must have the ability to manage and prioritize projects with competing timelines.Must demonstrate the ability to work independently while consistently modeling adherence to established procedures, instructions, and standard accepted practices to support consistency across the team and overall operational integrity.Proficient in the English language with excellent verbal and written communication skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while fostering a positive attitude.Must demonstrate safe and healthy workplace practices.Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.Must be able to travel within the US and internationally.Must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities of Logistics Lead Technician in daily work performance.Must be able to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC) and not be barred from any installation.Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.EDUCATION AND / OR WORK EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in supply logistics, aviation industry experience preferred.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The Logistics Lead must be eligible to work in ITAR-controlled environments. They must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time working at a computer and be able to listen and speak clearly on the telephone. They are also required to occasionally stand, bend, kneel, crouch and walk safely in a warehouse environment. Must be able to lift and / or move up to 50 pounds. This role is performed around loud noises and hazardous chemicals with exposure to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risks of electrical shock.
