We are seeking a Warehouse Supervisor that will be responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations to ensure accurate inventory control, efficient material flow, and compliance with safety and DOT regulations. This role manages warehouse staff, coordinates incoming and outgoing materials, and supports production through timely delivery and staging of components. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in manufacturing environments.
Responsibilities -
- Oversee all warehouse activities including receiving, staging, storage, picking, and delivery of materials.
- Maintain accurate inventory through strict adherence to FIFO processes.
- Coordinate and execute regular cycle counts and assist with annual physical inventory.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in collaboration with Purchasing and Production.
- Ensure warehouse layout supports efficiency, safety, and optimal material flow.
- Supervise the receiving of incoming shipments, ensuring proper inspection, documentation, and system entry.
- Perform railcar loading and unloading, manage resin offloading, and develop strategies to reduce demurrage costs.
- Verify that all documentation, labeling, and recordkeeping meet DOT and company standards.
- Lead, train, schedule, and evaluate warehouse staff, including material handlers and shipping / receiving personnel.
- Establish daily priorities and assign tasks to ensure timely material availability for production.
- Promote a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and teamwork.
- Coordinate material delivery to production lines, ensuring accuracy and timeliness to prevent downtime.
- Monitor staging areas to maintain organization and readiness for production requirements.
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, including proper handling and documentation of shipments.
- Enforce company safety policies and maintain a clean, hazard-free warehouse environment.
- Conduct safety training and participate in audits or incident investigations as needed.
Requirements :
3–5 years of warehouse or logistics experience in a manufacturing environment.1–3 years of supervisory or team lead experience.Strong knowledge of inventory management, FIFO processes, and warehouse best practices.Experience with ERP or warehouse management systems.Understanding of DOT regulations related to shipping and material handling.Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.Preferred :
Experience with Lean, 5S, or continuous improvement methodologies.Knowledge of OSHA requirements and safety best practices.
