Clinical Nurse II - Medical Cardiology

The Registered Professional Nurse plays a crucial role in assessing, coordinating, planning, directing, and implementing care for assigned patients, focusing on their progress toward discharge throughout their acute care stay. You will be responsible for delivering and coordinating quality patient care alongside a dedicated caregiving team while ensuring compassionate and effective assistance to patients, referring facilities, and hospital staff across various settings.

Key Responsibilities :

• Implement physician orders and administer medications, including starting IVs and performing treatments, procedures, and special tests in compliance with relevant regulations.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess patients' conditions effectively.
• Continuously assess and evaluate patient needs and responses to the care provided.
• Apply sound nursing judgment in managing patient care decisions.
• Provide primary and emergency care for various injuries and illnesses.
• Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
• Collaborate with the nursing team to develop comprehensive Care Plans for all patients.
• Guide and supervise ancillary personnel while maintaining high professional nursing standards.

Minimum Requirements :

The Medical Cardiology unit is comprised of 29 beds, including 1 private room, 13 semi-private rooms, and one 4-bedroom room. Patients are received from various sources, including the Emergency Department, Cardiac Catheterization Lab, CCU, and MICU. You will work with a diverse patient population ranging from young adults to geriatric patients, many of whom require telemetry monitoring following complex cardiac procedures.
