Career Staffing Talent (CST) is partnering with a luxury boutique hotel in Palm Beach to recruit a Director of Banquets . It's one of Palm Beach’s premier destinations for high-end events, weddings, galas, and celebrations.
This is a high-impact leadership role overseeing all banquet operations, event execution, staff performance, and guest experience across the hotel’s elegant venues. The ideal candidate brings luxury hospitality experience, polished service standards, and the ability to develop and inspire a high-performing banquet team.

This position is ideal for a banquet leader who thrives in fast-paced luxury environments and wants the autonomy to elevate service standards, guest satisfaction, and operational excellence. You will manage the entire banquet experience—from pre-event planning to flawless execution and post-event reporting—while working closely with culinary, catering, events, and hotel leadership.

$110,000 base salary + commission structure
Commission opportunities are tied to banquet performance, giving the Director meaningful upside based on department success.
????Key Responsibilities
Banquet Leadership & Event Execution
Supervise, train, and lead the banquet team to ensure maximum efficiency and outstanding guest satisfactionCoordinate, organize, and execute all banquet and catering functions according to BEOs and hotel standardsEnsure all event details—menus, room setup, service flow, special requests, VIP needs—are executed flawlesslyConduct pre-function meetings and oversee all setups, buffets, bars, and staff assignmentsMonitor staff performance and service pacing throughout eventsGuest Relations & Service Excellence
Greet hosts and guests; ensure a polished, luxury-level guest experienceAnticipate needs and respond promptly to guest requests or concernsResolve issues following hotel service standards and guest recovery proceduresOperational Oversight
Manage supplies, inventory, banquet equipment, linens, and storageProcess billing, finalize charges, and follow cashiering proceduresComplete function recaps, closing duties, and communication with all departmentsStaff Management & Training
Hire, train, coach, and evaluate banquet staffPrepare weekly schedules, monitor labor costs, and oversee payroll and tip distributionUphold grooming standards and high-service expectationsCollaboration & Communication
Coordinate closely with culinary, stewarding, catering, engineering, and event teamsReview menus, equipment needs, service timing, and special arrangements with the Chef and Stewarding teamsSafety, Compliance & Standards
Maintain banquet service standards, emergency protocols, and safety proceduresEnsure confidentiality of guest and hotel informationSubmit maintenance requests and ensure banquet spaces meet hotel standardsQualifications
5+ years of banquet service experience in a luxury venue2–3 years of banquet management experience in high-end hospitalityExpertise in reading and executing Banquet Event Orders (BEOs)Strong leadership, communication, and service recovery skillsKnowledge of food & beverage service styles, liquor laws, and banquet logisticsProficiency with banquet systems and Microsoft OfficeFood handling certificate & alcohol service certificationAbility to stand, walk, and lift 30–50 lbs as requiredConfidential Inquiry
