Material Handler

Quality Machined Products & Manufacturing is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient handling and movement of materials within facility. The candidate will perform a combination of tasks including but not limited to receiving raw materials, properly identifying material and marking it accordingly, safely unloading and loading trucks with a forklift, cutting material and distributing it to the machines in a timely manner; processing chips and keeping that area organized.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Receives, locates, and transfers materials accurately and in a timely manner.
• Opens containers utilizing hand tools as needed; counts and weighs materials and records information.
• Identifies damaged materials and records material shortages.
• Loads and unloads materials onto and from a variety of containers including but not limited to trucks, conveyors, racks, pallets, and / or trays; utilizes appropriate tools to accomplish task.
• Transports incoming and outgoing materials to designated areas utilizing appropriate tools / vehicles to accomplish task including but not limited to hand truck, forklift, or pallet jack.
• Assists machine operators as needed by lifting heavy objects by hand or by use of power hoist.
• Stacks and assembles materials.
• Maintains a safe, clean working environment.
• Participates in quality improvement efforts.
• Performs required administrative tasks; checks packing list for accuracy, sign receiving documents, make sure we have necessary supplies stocked.
