Premier Medical Staffing Services is seeking a travel nurse RN PACU - Post Anesthesia Care for a travel nursing job in Bay City, Michigan.

• 2 years PACU experience - Required
• Certifications : BLS (AHA)
• State Licenses : Michigan
• OnCall : On call nights and weekends (rotation with current staff)
• Weekend Description : Only on call weekends not scheduled

Key responsibilities include : \n\nPatient Monitoring : Continuously monitor vital signs (heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, temperature) and the patient's level of consciousness as they recover from anesthesia.\n\nAirway Management : Ensure a patent airway and adequate respiratory function, intervening quickly if an obstruction or respiratory distress occurs.\n\nSymptom and Pain Management : Administer medications, such as painkillers, anti-nausea drugs, and fluids, to manage post-operative symptoms effectively and keep the patient comfortable.\n\nAssessment and Intervention : Assess surgical sites for bleeding or complications, check dressings, and perform physical assessments. Recognize adverse reactions to anesthesia or surgery and initiate appropriate emergency interventions.\n\nDocumentation and Communication : Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, and communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare team members regarding the patient's condition and care plan.
