Job Summary

Langan is seeking an Part-Time On-Call Environmental Field Technician to join its collaborative team in Miami, FL. This individual will serve a key function in assisting in environmental field work with a focus on installation, operations and maintenance of remedial or gas collection systems, and collecting field data and samples. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a team of top-notch professionals in a variety of geographic areas and to collaborate and learn from our multi-disciplinary team of environmental, site / civil, geotechnical, survey, and landscape architect professionals on landmark land development projects.

Job Responsibilities

• Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and maintain environmental remediation equipment, including vacuum blowers, air compressors, transfer pumps, flowmeters, and filters;
• Operate precision measuring instruments along with a variety of hand and power tools;
• Oversee and document work performed by trade contractors across excavation, construction, remediation, and waste disposal activities;
• Assist with plumbing repairs and construction tasks in alignment with project needs;
• Handle installation and maintenance of groundwater wells, piping systems, and electrically powered pumps or machinery;
• Assemble, inspect, and maintain field systems and equipment, including troubleshooting as required;
• Collect water samples from monitoring wells, surface water, industrial wastewater systems, or other source for pollution assessment;
• Collecting air samples from remediation or gas management systems, or sub-slab gas samples;
• Maintaining equipment calibration logs;
• Produce timely and detailed field reports; and
• Perform other duties as requested.
