LocumJobsOnline is working with Lancesoft Inc to find a qualified Cardiology MD in Virginia!

Seeking a Board-Certified Interventional Cardiologist for inpatient hospital and STEMI coverage . This is a locum tenens assignment to help address an ongoing shortage of interventional coverage , with 1 week per month commitment.

🩺 Job Details :

Specialty : Interventional Cardiology

Setting : 100% inpatient (Adult & Geriatric – 50 / 50 split)

Patient Census : 15–25 patients / day

Admissions / Discharges : Varies, 2–8 / day

Patient LOS : 2–4 days

Call Coverage : 24-hour STEMI call, 7 nights / week

Weekend Coverage : 1 weekend / month

STEMI Volume : Low (~15 per quarter / 0–4 per week)

H&Ps : Performed by APCs with provider oversight

EMR : EPIC (training provided)

📅 Schedule :

Shifts : 24-hour STEMI call, 7 consecutive days / month

Duration : Ongoing monthly assignment

💼 Requirements :

Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology – REQUIRED

BLS, ACLS, ATLS – REQUIRED

Active Virginia License – REQUIRED (No IMLC accepted)
