Job Title : Quality Assurance / FSQA Manager

Location : Kent, WA

Salary : $100,000-$125,000 DOE – Full Time Permanent position

Hours : Days Monday – Friday, flexibility required due to some weekend work during audits

Industry : Food Production Facility

The FSQA Manager is responsible for maintaining and improving food safety and quality systems to ensure compliance with federal, state, and customer requirements.

This role leads the FSQA team, manages regulatory and third-party audits, oversees HACCP and SQF programs, and drives continuous improvement in food safety and product quality.

The position requires strong leadership, technical knowledge, and the ability to work cross-functionally across departments.

Duties and responsibilities as a FSQA Manager :

• Lead Quality Systems Management Programs including HACCP, SQF, Preventive Controls, and audits
• Monitor supplier performance and conduct risk-based hazard analyses
• Oversee regulatory, customer, and third-party audits, ensuring compliance and corrective actions
• Maintain and improve plant compliance with food safety policies and standards
• Provide training in HACCP, GMPs, allergens, sanitation, SPC, and other quality-related areas
• Supervise daily QA activities including product evaluations, shelf-life, microbiological testing, and environmental monitoring
• Partner with Production to investigate and resolve customer complaints, driving root cause analysis and corrective actions
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives for food safety and product quality
• Maintain documentation and reporting, including quality scores and improvement updates
• Support cross-department collaboration with Operations, Sales, Culinary, and Product Development teams
