IP Network Engineer

This is a remote position.

We are seeking a highly skilled IP Network Engineer with strong expertise in routing switching MPLS / IP and network security. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience across multi-vendor platforms extensive knowledge of IP protocols and proven experience executing complex network migrations.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

Configure operate and troubleshoot IP networks across multi-vendor environments.

Support routing and switching operations network optimization and performance improvements.

Design provision and maintain MPLS / IP services including LDP RSVP RSVP-TE MP-BGP VPLS L2VPN and IPVPN.

Work with LAN technologies such as STP RSTP 802.1x ISL HSRP VRRP MC-LAG .

Implement and support QoS traffic engineering and end-to-end IP service delivery.

Configure and maintain IPSec VPNs firewalls and associated network security controls.

Conduct network migrations upgrades and integration activities with minimal downtime.

Perform network audits documentation updates and change management tasks.

Collaborate with operations engineering and project teams during deployments.

Required Technical Skills (Must-Have)

Strong understanding of IP TCP UDP QoS .

Expertise with OSPF and BGP routing protocols.

Deep knowledge of MPLS / IP technologies :

LDP RSVP RSVP-TE

MP-BGP

VPLS L2VPN IPVPN

Strong LAN expertise :

STP RSTP 802.1x ISL HSRP VRRP MC-LAG

Security experience with IPSec VPNs and firewalls .

Proven migration experience in large-scale IP networks.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Engineering Computer Science Telecommunications or equivalent experience.

310 years of hands-on experience in IP routing switching MPLS and network security.

Strong troubleshooting analytical and documentation skills.

Experience working in service provider carrier or large enterprise IP networks is preferred.

Required Skills :

Key Responsibilities Log in to optical transport equipment for configuration monitoring and troubleshooting (TL1 experience preferred). Provision activate and validate DWDM / SONET / OTN services and circuits. Work with NMS systems for topology performance and fault management. Perform detailed audits and tracing of end-to-end services / circuits. Execute network upgrades migrations and cutovers with minimal downtime. Create and update documentation for circuits configurations and migration plans. Collaborate with internal teams during maintenance windows and project deployments. Required Skills Strong knowledge of DWDM SONET / SDH OTN optical line systems and transport technologies. Hands-on experience in provisioning auditing and migrating optical circuits. Familiarity with TL1 CLI and multi-vendor network elements. Experience with NMS platforms for monitoring and circuit management. Excellent communication documentation and troubleshooting skills.
