Role Overview :
As a Radiology Technologist, you will provide essential healthcare services by applying x-ray energy to support diagnostic or treatment processes. Key responsibilities include :
Performing all types of diagnostic radiographic procedures, including ER and portable radiographs.Ensuring safe radiation protection according to hospital standards.Assisting physicians and radiologists in sterile procedures.Preparing and administering radiopaque contrast media for exams.Assessing patient conditions before and during procedures.Maintaining accurate patient history documentation for licensed practitioners.Keeping procedure rooms stocked and notifying senior techs for supply orders.Participating in training and in-service programs.Transporting patients as necessary.Submitting patient charges following procedures.Qualifications :
Preferred one year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist.Graduation from an accredited Radiology program.Associates Degree in Radiologic Technology preferred.Current Medical Radiologic Technologist certification from the Texas Medical Board.Current Basic Life Support certification as per St. David's Healthcare policy.Certification in Radiology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required.St. David's North Austin Medical Center is a full-service medical facility with over 460 beds and a wide array of specialties, including advanced women’s health services and a comprehensive surgical hospital.
