Job Title : Forklift operator / Material Handler

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler who will play a key role in ensuring accurate inventory management for our controlled material stock. You will work collaboratively with a diverse team to monitor, organize, and maintain our company's product inventory across multiple branch locations.

Responsibilities

• Operate sit-down forklifts, order pickers, and side-loader forklifts.
• Conduct inventory control and cycle counting duties.
• Enter and manually record inventory data using a computer and clipboard.
• Load and unload raw metal materials both manually and with a forklift.
• Complete material receiving activities for shipments between locations or direct from the mill.
• Coordinate material movement from stock to processing to support production requirements.
• Operate material handling equipment to facilitate material movement.
• Perform accurate and timely data entry within the inventory management system.
• Prepare and maintain appropriate inventory identification tags.
• Complete material consolidation tasks, including maintaining a supermarket.
• Identify material shortages and issues, and communicate them to appropriate staff.
• Verify scrap materials.
• Maintain high accuracy and attention to detail in all work.
• Assist the quality assurance team in activities related to credits.
• Perform equipment preventative maintenance and clean up.

Work Environment

You will be working in a large raw material supplier facility that stores, cuts, and ships materials to customers in a fast-paced aerospace environment. The main building is located in Auburn, WA, with shifts available from 4am-2 : 30pm, Monday to Thursday. Additional shifts include Monday-Friday and Friday-Sunday, with competitive pay. The environment is dynamic, requiring a focus on safety and efficiency.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Auburn, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.70 - $21.70 / hr.
