TITLE: AUDIO VISUAL TECHNICIAN
LOCATION: 1 DNA Way, South San Francisco CA, 94080
General Summary:
Responds to AV job request tickets for setting up, adjusting and operating audio-visual equipment in conference rooms, large venues or offsites. Included duties are but not limited to: Audio/Video support, Data, Projection, Webcasting, Phone Line Support, Urgent Requests all in a fast-paced corporate environment.
This job assignment will be at our customer facility in South San Francisco, CA.
Essential duties:
- Basic understanding and setup of audiovisual equipment including, but not limited to: PA Systems, Audio Mixers, Video switchers, HD cameras (Cam Operator) and projectors.
- Have an understanding of signal flow and processing.
- Experience in Webcasting a plus, this includes video production including camera operation all while on-site in conference rooms or large venue live event support. Editing Experience in Adobe Premier platform also a plus, post editing
- Experience in virtual platform collaboration tools like Google Meets, Google Live Stream, Zoom, Zoom Webinar or Poll Everywhere. Basic Knowledge of Google Slides, Google Documents, Microsoft Excel
- Excellent client relationship management is a requirement for this position (i.e., exhibiting the ability to create an atmosphere of tension relief during high stress encounters). Engaging with customers, including consultation and follow up
- Proactively Research and submit recommendations to your manager for improving CSI's AV operation and service offering.
- Available to work a flexible schedule including occasional nights and weekends
- Working knowledge in both Mac and PC platforms.
- Update the status of all work performed on any AV request using the CSI custom built request tracking system and customer database (OPUS)
- Have the Ability to multi-task and lift up to 50lbs without assistance and 100lbs with assistance
Requirements:
- 1 to 2 years AV experience in the Corporate or Hotel environment a plus
- Able to communicate clearly to both technical and nontechnical customers, and event producers by confirming details, eliminating assumptions, giving status updates, answer information requests, and job scheduling if necessary.
- Be proactive regarding job efficiency to include suggestions for the Audio-Visual Department.
- Ability to cross train across multiple service support offerings
- A high school diploma (or equivalent) is a minimum requirement for this position
