Northern Dutchess Hospital is an 84-bed hospital located in picturesque Rhinebeck, New York. We are leaders in the Hudson Valley for maternity and orthopedic excellence and provide award-winning care in a wide range of specialties, from cancer and heart disease prevention to bariatric surgery and healthy aging services.

Summary of Job Purpose :

  • To protect life and property and perform tasks with limited Supervision.

    • Job Qualifications :

  • High School Graduate or Equivalent, NYS Security Certification, NYS Drivers License.
  • Education : High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Licensure / Registration / Certification : NYS Security Guard License (at a minimum, must have completed the 8 hour training course and submitted application for license), NYS Drivers License.
  • Work Experience : Law Enforcement or Security Background.

    • Working Conditions

  • Manual : significant manual skills / motor coord & finger dexterity
  • Occupational : Some occupational risk
  • Physical Effort : Very Heavy effort. May exert up to 50 lbs. force
  • Physical Environment : Significant exposure to dirt, odors, noise, human waste, etc.
