Housekeeping Position At Loews Philadelphia Hotel

To clean all public guest room areas of the hotel as assigned. To promote good public relations. Essential functions and responsibilities include :

• Reporting to work as scheduled, in proper uniform, in accordance with the company's personal appearance standards
• Consistently maintaining a friendly positive attitude that ensures positive guest experience
• Following and adhering to all policies and procedures as set forth by the Housekeeping Department
• Following proper etiquette when communicating over the radio
• Responding, following and closing HotSOS and other requests when assigned to them by the proper usage of Rexx / radio
• Helping room attendants by emptying trash and soiled linen from housekeeping carts
• Helping maintain the following areas at all times : public rest rooms, hotel lobby levels, ashtrays, elevators and tracks, ice machine areas, stairwells, building entrance and hallways
• Handling guests with excellent guest relations skills
• Cleaning back-of-the-house windows as needed
• Vacuuming guest hallways daily
• Using proper chemicals when cleaning as described by the department's procedures
• Attending all departmental meetings as scheduled
• Performing all duties in a timely and efficient manner
• Maintaining linen closets clean, stock and organize
• Bringing trash to compactor at the end of the day
• Responsible for washing guest room glassware and delivered to linen closets
• Responsible for bringing dirty glassware to housekeeping at the end of the shift
• Performing all other duties as directed by management that are consistent with the policies and procedures of the company
• Notifying immediate supervisors promptly and fully of all problems or unusual matters of significance
• Being polite, friendly, and helpful to the guests, management, and fellow team members
• Attending all appropriate hotel meetings and training sessions
• Maintaining cleanliness and excellent condition of equipment, and work area
• Executing emergency procedures in accordance with hotel standards
• Complying with safety regulations and procedures
• Complying with hotel policies and rules
• Recycling whenever possible
• Remaining current with hotel information and changes
• Promoting and applying teamwork skills at all times
• Complying with hotel uniform and grooming standards
