What You'll Do: Key Responsibilities:
As a vital part of our team, you will provide comprehensive patient and clinical support, including:
- Clinical and Surgical Assistance: Assist veterinarians with exams, procedures, anesthesia monitoring, and surgery.
- Patient Care: Perform basic medical procedures (e.g., placing IV catheters, collecting lab samples), administer medication, monitor patients, and manage their feeding and handling. Note: Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Diagnostics: Process lab samples and perform or assist with digital radiography and ultrasound.
- Client Education & Communication: Warmly greet all visitors, answer calls, schedule appointments, and educate pet owners on preventative care and treatment plans.
- Clinic Operations: Maintain the cleanliness and organization of all areas (kennels, exam rooms, lab) and ensure the accuracy of all patient records.
What We're Looking For: Qualifications:
The ideal candidate is a motivated "people person" with a love for pets who possesses:
- A compassionate, dedicated, and detail-oriented attitude.
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and interact well with both clients and their pets.
- Availability to work Weekdays or Weekends.
- Essential knowledge of veterinary terminology and animal anatomy.
- Strong experience in animal care, including handling and kennel management.
- The necessary physical ability to stand for long periods, perform regular physical tasks, and safely lift 50 lbs.
- Previous veterinary experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person.
