Seeking a professional and personable Medical Front Office Specialist to manage front desk operations in a high-volume behavioral health facility. The ideal candidate will facilitate patient check-ins, handle insurance verifications, and deliver exceptional customer service to ensure a welcoming and efficient environment. This role is essential in supporting the daily functions of the clinic, ensuring smooth patient flow and adherence to confidentiality standards.
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years??? experience in a front desk role within a medical or hospital setting
Strong front office etiquette and professional presentation
Pleasant demeanor with excellent communication skills
Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in basic office computer applications; experience with Electronic Medical Records preferred
Strong data entry skills (minimum 45 WPM)
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards
Responsibilities
Greet clients and guests upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression
Facilitate patient check-in, including assistance with telehealth appointments
Conduct insurance verification and eligibility checks
Schedule appointments and manage appointment reconciliation
Answer multiline phones efficiently, responding to inquiries promptly
Protect patient rights and maintain HIPAA compliance
Support daily clerical duties related to front desk operations
