About The Position

Opportunity Highlights

Schedule : Mix of 10 hrs and 12 hrs shifts, regular hours required, no call
Job Setting : Community hospital with 11 ORs, 2 Endo suites and a very active 16 bed L&D department
Types of Cases : General, Ortho, OB, Endo, EP / Cath lab, MRI, Vascular, ENT, Plastics, Urology, Da Vinci Robot
Credentialing : 60 days
Duration : On going
EMR System : Epic
Supervision : MDs supervising CRNAs at 4 to 1 ratio
Lodging / Housing Stipend : $110 / daily
Car Rental / Mileage Stipend : $250 / weekly

Minimum Requirements

Certifications : Certified or recertified by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists

Licensure : Current license as a registered professional nurse; Virginia license or willing to obtain

Education : Graduation from an accredited program of nurse anesthesia education

Responsibilities

Pre-anesthesia assessment

Obtains and / or verifies patient consent

Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient

Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia

Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition

Performance of clinical intervention as needed
