Physician Assistant / Gastroenterology / Missouri / Locum Tenens / Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant

Midwest GI Health is seeking a licensed nurse practitioner or physician assistant to join our practice. Individual should have strong patient relationship skills and GI experience is a plus.

Qualities should include:

- Working knowledge of clinical procedures/processes.

- Ability to build rapport with patients

- Superior communication/medical writing skills

- Ability to work in a team environment that is dedicated to providing excellent patient care

Responsibilities include:

- Support physicians and assist in patient flow management

- Engage in direct patient care, diagnose and treat acute or chronic illnesses

- Communicate with physicians regarding patient care

- Prescribe all necessary medications and treatments as ordered by the physician

- Follow patient progress and make changes in treatment as necessary

Qualifications:

- Current Missouri license

- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program

- Current BLS and ACLS
