Reports To: Survey Practice Leader & El Paso Office Managing Principal
Registration(s): Texas Licensed Surveyor Required
Education: Associate's Degree

Role Overview:

We are seeking a Licensed Surveyor to join our El Paso Office. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience post-licensure in all phases of land surveying, construction, boundary, and topographic surveying. As a leading Architectural and Engineering firm, we provide innovative planning, engineering, architectural design, construction and program management, and design-build project delivery to both public and private sector clients. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and Manage Survey Team: Supervise and support 5 senior Survey Party Chiefs and their field teams.
• Project Management & Technical Oversight: Oversee topographic mapping (drone & ground), platting, boundary, ALTA, and construction staking efforts.
• Equipment & Data Management: Maintain and operate drones, scanners, robotic total stations, GPS equipment, Trimble Business Center, and data collectors.
• Technical Proficiency: Utilize Trimble field equipment, data collector software, and AutoCAD for survey drawings.
• Survey Drafting & Plats: Oversee CADD drafting, finalize plats for public & private clients, and manage data upload/download for field staff.
• Drone & Topographic Surveys: Supervise drone ortho-image capture and processing.
• Mentorship & Quality Control: Train junior surveyors and ensure survey accuracy & QC.
• Safety & Compliance: Ensure safe operation and maintenance of vehicles, tools, and equipment.
• Business Development: Actively pursue new business opportunities, develop win strategies, and contribute to office sales goals.

Required Qualifications:

• Texas RPLS Licensure (or ability to obtain).
• 5+ years of post-licensure survey experience.
• Proficiency in Trimble GPS, Robotic Total Stations, Civil 3D, Microsoft Suite, and Trimble Business Center.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid Driver's License.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to hike up and down steep slopes while carrying up to 50 lbs of survey equipment.
• Comfortable working in extreme weather conditions and rugged terrains.
• Ability to operate field equipment, drive survey vehicles, and perform hands-on tasks such as digging monument holes and using brush-cutting tools.
