American Traveler is seeking an experienced Pediatric Oncology RN with a CT or compact license, APHON, and chemotherapy certification for a night shift hospital role.

Job Details

  • Work in a pediatric oncology unit at a Level I Trauma Center with 1000+ beds,
  • Required to float to the Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) unit as needed,
  • Night shift position (3x12 hours, 19 : 00-07 : 00),
  • Average nurse-to-patient ratio of 1 : 3,
  • Epic charting system in use,
  • Every other weekend required,
  • Assignment length is 13 weeks,

Job Requirements

  • Active CT or compact RN license (pending license accepted if applied prior to consideration),
  • Minimum 2 years of recent pediatric oncology experience in a large trauma center,
  • Chemotherapy Administration and APHON certifications required,
  • CPHON / CPON certification preferred,
  • Flu vaccine required (no declinations accepted),
  • COVID vaccine and booster required unless exempt for religious or medical reasons,

    • Additional Information

  • Role includes caring for pediatric oncology and BMT patients,
  • Expected to float between sister units as needed,
  • First-time travelers are welcome,
  • Return permanent staff must be gone 2 years to be eligible for consideration as a traveler,
  • RTO up to 7 days is auto-approved; longer requests require approval,
  • No local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius,
  • One reference required for consideration,
  • Parking available for $125 / month,
  • Travelers must participate in emergency response activity as needed,
  • Scrub or dress code requirements not specified,
