Job Description

    • Duties / Responsibilities

  • Educate participants on proper swim techniques promote swimmer safety and teach new skills.
  • Adapt teaching approaches to age experience and ability of participants to meet level objectives.
  • Instruct swimming lessons in accordance with department guidelines prepare lesson plans accordingly maintain reports and support members and program participants in achieving their goals.
  • Demonstrate professionalism in all forms of communications such as in-person and emails.
  • Ability to be punctual organized approachable and energetic.
  • Preferred : previous coaching our swim instruction experience.

    • Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications :

  • Must be at least 16 years old (Dont meet the age requirement! Email us to inquire about our junior swim instructor program).
  • A minimum of 15 hours of weekly availability. Must be available to work mornings evenings and weekends.
  • Attend required staff meetings and training.

    • Mandatory training will be scheduled in early June before the start of the program session.

  • Ability to remain calm in emergencies communicating quickly and effectively provide emergency response.
  • Ability to swim and knows all four competitive swim strokes (freestyle backstroke breaststroke and butterfly).
