Administrative Assistant 4 Law School Student Services FULL TIME
The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for an Administrative Assistant IV for the William S. Boyd School of Law at UNLV, providing high-level administrative support, budget preparation and tracking, including expense reports, and personnel support to all areas of the Law School's Student Services department.
This position will primarily support the Assistant Dean of Career Development and the Law School Registrar's Office, as well as faculty, staff, and students. This requires analytical and critical thinking to determine appropriate action for a professional Student Services office. These duties include but are not limited to compiling and storing data, updating department statistics, assisting in the completion of forms and reports, creating memos, overseeing the department schedule, travel documents, supplier invoice requests, and other expense reports. The Administrative Assistant IV carries out all aspects of the law school's J.D. and LL.M. student services office to implement and manage necessary procedures and upgrades to the My Boyd Portal and various department databases and accompanying reporting tools; to counsel and advise current students and to coordinate recruitment travel.
Administrative Assistant IV stands available to the Assistant Dean of the Career Development Office and responsibilities that may arise when the Assistant Dean and Registrar are otherwise occupied; and to carry out other administrative duties as assigned by Assistant / Associate Deans.

Minimum qualifications include graduation from high school or equivalent education and four years of progressively responsible relevant work experience which included experience in one or more of the following areas : providing administrative / program support to professional staff and management; performing secretarial duties in support of a manager; coordinating communications between the manager, staff and program clientele; supervision of subordinate staff; researching information from internal and external sources; OR one year of experience as an Administrative Assistant III in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.

Salary : Grade 29 Step 1, salary $50,153.76.
