Job Title : Director / Senior Director / Vice President of Data Center Business Development

Location : Durham, NC | Phoenix, AZ | New York, NY | Denver, CO

Reporting To : Chief Commercial Officer

Employment Type : Full-Time

Strata is a forward-thinking organization at the intersection of infrastructure, technology, and sustainability. We are expanding our footprint in the Data Center space and seeking a seasoned leader to drive strategic growth, partnerships, and investments in this rapidly evolving sector.

Role Overview

We are looking for a highly experienced professional to lead our Data Center Business Development efforts. This role requires a deep understanding of the Data Center business model, strong industry relationships, and the ability to identify and execute on strategic opportunities including M&A, joint ventures, and greenfield development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead business development initiatives focused on Data Center investments, partnerships, and acquisitions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with Hyperscalers, Data Center developers, and infrastructure partners.
  • Evaluate and structure investment opportunities, including financial modeling and risk assessment.
  • Collaborate with internal teams on technical feasibility, site selection, and operational planning.
  • Represent Strata at industry events and in strategic negotiations.
  • Provide market intelligence and strategic recommendations to executive leadership.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in Data Center development, investment, or M&A.
  • Strong network within the Data Center ecosystem, including Hyperscalers and major developers.
  • Solid understanding of Data Center financial models and investment structures.
  • Basic technical knowledge of Data Center design, construction, and operations.
  • Proven track record of closing complex deals and driving strategic growth.
