[job_card.job_description]Provide customer service to clients, patients, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare environment. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing de-escalation techniques as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns. Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain a visible presence. Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, patients, staff, and visitors to address questions or concerns. Document observations, incidents, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal policies and client requirements. Collaborate with local law enforcement and / or emergency personnel when required. Adhere to all company and client policies, including those related to the handling and carrying of firearms as an armed security-related professional. Be at least 21 years of age. A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Level III Armed Certification Texas only. Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and / or baton is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
