Flu vaccine required; no exemptions or exceptions.

High-risk experience preferred; must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment.

Description :

This position involves working in a 14-bed unit with specific responsibilities.

Five beds are used as triage / inpatient beds, and six are labor beds with two OR beds.

Nurses will perform full assessments and own exams.

C-sections are completed in this unit, and nurses are expected to scrub.

High-risk obstetric patients and magnesium sulfate patients will be managed on this unit.

Low-risk antepartum patients will be redirected.

Nurses will have a charge nurse three days a week and also a unit leader.

Weekend requirement includes every third weekend for days and three weekend shifts in a four-week period.

Night shift on weekends will encompass Friday and Saturday.

Travelers do not work holidays.

Scrubs will be provided by the facility.

Hospitalist or intensivist will be in-house, providing coverage three nights a week.

IV team and pharmacy will be available 24 / 7.

Nurses may float to the Obstetrics or nursery area but will not take patients in those specialties.

Common diagnoses include high-risk cases, and strong nursing skills are essential.

Communication skills and customer service orientation are critical for this role.
