Key Responsibilities :
- Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments, and document all care per company and regulatory policies.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions accurately.
- Assess and evaluate patient needs and responses to care, providing essential feedback to the healthcare team.
- Utilize sound nursing judgment to manage patient care effectively.
- Provide primary and emergency care for both occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
- Administer both over-the-counter and prescription medications as directed.
- Work collaboratively with the nursing team to develop comprehensive Plans of Care for patients.
- Guide and direct ancillary personnel while upholding professional nursing standards.
Minimum Qualifications :
Graduation from a recognized nursing program (Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree).Current New York State Registered Nurse license is required.Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained and maintained.1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care is essential.Strong communication, organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills are a must.Knowledge of quality principles and problem-solving techniques to enhance patient care quality is beneficial.Thank you for considering a career with Albany Medical Center, where your skills and compassion can help make a difference.
