You may be interested in the Field Service Engineer position that we have available! It’s an opportunity to join a team that meets the 24 / 7 data center maintenance needs of local customers with a focus on delivering exceptional service with each interaction.
This role requires driving to different customer sites within a 100-mile radius for assigned service calls. You will use your own vehicle and be reimbursed for travel expenses. Additionally, you’ll also participate in periodic training and occasional out-of-state travel.
What you’ll do : Customer Service
Perform maintenance and repairs on data center hardware, including mid-to-high-end servers and storage devicesTravel to customer sites to troubleshoot and resolve technical issuesProvide exceptional service by responding quickly and efficiently to customer needsCommunicate with confidence to ensure customers feel supported and their concerns are addressedIdentify and proactively escalate potential technical issuesAssist with data center relocations and inventory auditsTechnical Knowledge
Interpret maintenance manuals and collaborate with engineers to resolve complex issuesTroubleshoot technical problems efficiently while managing multiple tasksStay updated on industry advancements through training and certification programsServe as a technical expert during sales calls when neededDocument and share resolutions to improve team knowledge and efficiencyAccount Management
Prepare thorough audits and maintain documentation of service callsProactively analyze and prepare for service calls to ensure quick and effective solutionsMaintain accurate records of service activities, expenses, and customer interactionsCollaborate with internal teams including purchasing, operations, and salesWhat we’re looking for :
Strong troubleshooting skills with at least a basic knowledge of computer hardwareAvailability for on-call rotation to support customer needsPrior field service experience is a plus but not requiredA+ and / or Server Plus certifications preferred but not requiredAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, and reachingWhat we offer you :
