Building Tech IIPosition Summary:
Maintains, installs and repairs the interior and exterior components of the building structure.
Position Performance Area/Expectations:
Interior Maintenance/Repair
- Performs tasks that include painting, chalking, drywall repair and installs wall covering as assigned. Will make minor electrical and plumbing repairs.
- Installs and repairs doors, door frames, ceilings, locks, flooring and walls as assigned.
- Performs preventive maintenance and repairs as indicated in work orders and PM's issued by the Building Maintenance Coordinator or CMMS system .
- Initiates orders for supplies needed; estimates labor and materials to complete all assignments, as requested, staying within budget.
Exterior Maintenance
- Repairs and maintains doors, roofs, windows, exterior wall finishes, walkways, gutters and architectural details.
Safety
- Maintains a safe and clean environment.
- Follows safety standards in performing all work.
- Complies with all applicable state and local codes or specifications.
Team Support
- Completes other duties when assigned.
- Removes snow and ice during winter season.
Record Keeping/Data Entry
- Accurately records repairs and preventive maintenance activities in the CMMS (Corrigo) system.
- Records inventory materials and repair parts used. Maintains department inventory; ensures access of supplies to team members.
Requirements:
- High School/GED diploma preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in carpentry, ceiling, wall, window, doors, door hardware repairs.
- Must be physically able to use power tools, ladders, scaffolding and lift 50 pounds.
