Job Summary :

The Mail Production Operator runs and maintains high-speed mail processing machines to meet deadlines. The key tasks include setting up and operating equipment, fixing minor issues, sorting mail, checking quality, and keeping records.

Duties / Responsibilities :

  • Operate mail production equipment, including inserters, sorting, and postage meters.
  • Set up machines and perform routine maintenance or minor repairs.
  • Sort and process mail by size, type, or destination following USPS regulations.
  • Ensure accuracy and quality of outgoing mail through regular checks.
  • Load machines with materials (paper, ink, trays, etc.) and assist with manual fulfillment as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of mail volumes and production activity.
  • Follow all safety protocols and ensure a clean, organized work environment.
  • Complete all other responsibilities and assignments as required to successfully achieve the goals and objectives of this position.

Required Skills / Abilities :

  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
  • Excellent organization skills and attention to details.
  • Team player with good communication and time management skills.

    • Education / Experience :

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in a mailroom or production environment is a plus.

    • Physical Requirements :

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
  • Standing for extended periods of time.
