As a Security Officer - Government Site Patrol in Norfolk, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned government locations, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and foster a welcoming environment. You will interact with the public, provide outstanding customer service, and support a culture where people come first. Position Type : Part Time

Pay Rate : $17.25 / Hour

Job Schedule :

DayTimeWed11 : 00 PM - 07 : 00 AMThur11 : 00 PM - 07 : 00 AM

What You'll Do :

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond to emergencies as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related incidents to the appropriate authorities and / or Allied Universal management.
  • Assist visitors and employees with directions and information as needed while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Follow all post orders and instructions from Allied Universal management and / or site supervisors.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs of all activities, incidents, and security-related observations during the shift.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
