Sushi Bar Prep Cook

Cafe Sushi, a beloved neighborhood gem in Harvard Square, is expanding our team as we relaunch dine-in service under our restaurant concept, Nisei, alongside our retail shop, Shoten. We’re looking for a motivated team player who enjoys the fast-paced nature of a busy restaurant, is committed to craftsmanship, and eager to contribute to a collaborative kitchen.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare vegetables such as cucumbers, pickled daikon (takuan), scallions, grape tomatoes, etc.
• “Scrape” fish for rolls, including tuna, hiramasa, and salmon
• Cut unagi
• Make sauces
• Assist in putting away deliveries
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation in line with health and safety standards
• Assist in all end-of-prep and end-of-service cleanup duties

What We’re Looking For

• 1–2 years restaurant experience
• Good knife skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Reliability, professionalism, and strong attention to detail

Schedule: Tuesday–Saturday, 10am–3pm

Compensation: $18/hour
