Operating Room RN

We are seeking an Operating Room RN also known as an OR RN or perioperative nurse, provides comprehensive nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgery. Operating Room Nurse work within the operating room setting, collaborating with surgeons and other surgical team members to ensure patient safety and well-being. OR RNs prepare patients for surgery, which includes reviewing medical history, conducting assessments, educating patients and families about the procedure, and administering pre-operative medications.

Hours : 12-hour shift 7 : 00am to 7 : 00pm

Location : St. Mary's Medical Center - Blue Springs, MO

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience 1. Current and valid state RN License. 2. Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current. 3. Current ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current. 4. Current PALS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current. 5. Minimum of one year previous Perioperative experience or on the job training 6. Certified Nurse OR (CNOR) Certification (AORN) preferred 7. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
