The Behavioral Health Office Nurse prescribes and coordinates professional nursing care for assigned patients.

You will carry out these responsibilities independently within the guidelines of accepted nursing practice and hospital policies.

Utilize the Nursing Process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

Provide direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing interventions.

Collaborate with physicians, fellow nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

Develop and implement individualized patient care plans.

Maintain accurate and detailed medical records of patients' conditions, treatments, and progress.

Report any changes or concerns promptly to the appropriate team members.

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.

Educate patients and their families on disease management and treatment options.

Advocate for patients' rights and ensure they receive respectful care.

Comply with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.

Stay updated on medical advancements and best practices through ongoing professional development activities.

Other duties may be assigned as required.
