  • Kaiser plan fully covered for Employee and dependents Optional Life, Long Term Disability, Critical Illness, Identity Theft Protection and Accident Insurance Generous paid time off, including 16 paid holidays which includes the week between Christmas and New Years 2 Floating Holidays (16 hours) 401K Plan with company match up to 6% Position : Accounting Manager Location :   Sacramento, CA (Hybrid – on-site and regional travel required) Schedule : Full Time, Exempt, 7 : 30 AM – 4 : 30 PM Compensation : $90,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience Job Summary : We’re seeking an experienced and strategic Accounting Manager to join our Sacramento-based team.
  • This role plays a key part in overseeing financial operations and supporting our growing portfolio of affordable housing communities.

    • Responsibilities :

  • Lead and mentor 1–3 accounting staff with weekly check-ins and annual reviews.
  • Oversee financial reporting, audits, and tax compliance across 45 entities.
  • Manage accounts payable, vendor setup, and intercompany transactions.
  • Coordinate construction draws and cost certifications for LIHTC projects.
  • Post payroll and perform reconciliations for multiple entities.
  • Support budgeting and intercompany cash flow projections.
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure seamless financial integration.
  • Recommend process improvements and uphold internal financial policies.

    • Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (advanced degree preferred). 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years of supervision.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, audits, construction accounting, and nonprofit finance.
  • Experience with property management or affordable housing accounting preferred.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • A collaborative mindset and initiative-driven approach.
  • Must successfully pass criminal, DOJ, and other background checks.
